Wedding Hairstyles For Brides

Your wedding day is the one day you want to look your best. Your hair is a very important factor of creating the look of perfection.

Whether you hair is long or short, there are many different styles you can achieve. Using a highly recommended hair dresser you could create any style you like using either:

  • Accessories - for a contemporary look you could use accessories to reflect your outfit such as tiaras, flowers, jewelled hairbands or hairpins.
  • Hairpiece - whether your hair is long or short you could add a hair weft to add volume, length or to create a fuller style.
  • Extensions - for a longer lasting look you could have have extensions. These will take around 3 hours to transform your hair and will last up to 3 months. If done professionally, this will create a natural, longer, fuller style.

We have provided some essential advice for great looking wedding hair.

  • Look after your hair and kept it well nourished and conditioned leading up to your wedding day. You want it looking healthy and shiny on the big day.
  • Plan for any accessories that will reflect your dress.
  • Only have a hairdresser that has been highly recommended or that you already know and trust.
  • If you colour your hair allow at least 10 days beforehand for the colour to settle.
  • Consider your style from all angles.
  • Be comfortable with your look, if you're unsure then keep it simple.
  • ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST ONE REHEARSAL - you want to ensure it is definitely the look you were trying to achieve.
  • Planning and time management on the day is essential, make sure you allow enough time. You will get a rough idea from your rehearsal.
  • Choose a style to compliment your face shape.

Some styles to suit face shapes:

  • Oval Face - You lucky ladies can go with any style
  • Round Face - Choose a style with height. Side partings and layers work well too.
  • Long Face - A fringe will shorten your face and add an illusion of width. Big curls also will balance out a long face.
  • Square face - Soft waves, curls or wispy layers. A side parting works well too.

We have put together a few of the many styles you could achieve for your wedding day. You can click to enlarge the image and print for your reference.
