Buttonholes and Corsages

When considering your wedding flowers, don't forget about the buttonholes and corsages. The obvoius choice of flower for the buttonholes and corsages is to use one of the flowers from the bride's bouquet.

Buttonholes

The flower should be pinned to the lapel on the left side, and worn by the males of significance to your wedding party, including:-

  • Groom - should be the largest/boldest of the flowers
  • Best Man
  • Father of the Bride
  • Father of the Groom
  • Ushers

If you wish you could provide immediate family and any important others with a buttonhole.

Corsages

Corsages are normally larger than a buttonhole flower and can either be pinned to the lapel on the right side or worn on the wrist or attached to a handbag. Normally corsages are worn by:-

  • Mother of the Bride
  • Mother of the Groom
  • Grandmothers
  • Other important female guests
