: Corkage Fees?
: Ricardo 27 January, 2008, 20:53:26
Would you choose to hold a wedding dinner or reception in a corporate hotel where you may have to pay a corkage fee, or would you try to find a place where that wouldn't be an issue?

I think in some cases the most impressive venues may charge corkage fees.

I mean unless you want to actually pay those extra fees and have no problem with that then go ahead and have it in a corporate hotel but me personally I think that I would rather cut the extras and put that towards my honeymoon. I would  go with a reception hall of some kind.

I can definitely see the advantage of that.

Sometimes the expectations of two sets of families and friends influences that decision.

If you can afford an extra fee and if it's something you really want then go for it. But I don't see the necessity for something like that. It's definitely up to the couple.
