Say your vows in the romantic and unique Bathing Hut on the banks of the River Tamar, before wandering back to the castle through the grounds for the reception of your dreams. We can help you to arrange as much or as little of your wedding as you like - let your imagination loose and we will help you! Choose from our hand-picked list of local suppliers and caterers, chosen because of the excellent level of style, service and quality they provide. From your candlelit ceremony in the Bathing Hut to setting off on honeymoon on a boat from our jetty, we are happy to work with your ideas to create a magical day.

Ceremonies
The Castle is licensed for civil ceremonies in all the main reception rooms. These are all fabulous rooms and perfect for intimate ceremonies. For something slightly different, the loggia on the spectacular South terrace with its views across the River Tamar to Dartmoor, and the romantic Bathing Hut, nestled on the banks of the River itself, are both also licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships.

Receptions
With the entire Castle and its immediate gardens at your disposal for your wedding, there are plenty of spaces in which to hold the perfect wedding reception at Pentillie. Whether you opt for a marquee reception, or a smaller reception in the dining room, we will help you make sure that you have the wedding of your dreams.

The terraces are enormously popular for receptions drinks and canapés, while a croquet match on the lawn could be the perfect activity for a more informal reception.

The dining room seats up to 60 guests for a wedding breakfast, and we can accommodate an extra 40 guests for the evening entertainment in the castle.

For parties greater than 60, a small marquee attached to the loggia could be the perfect solution, while larger parties can take advantage of the tennis lawn with a marquee seating up to 250 guests with plenty of space for dancing.

Whilst staying at Pentillie, you will have 9 luxuriously appointed double (some can be twins) en-suite bedrooms for you and your guests to unwind in. Relax in the sumptuous four poster bed in the Dewhurst Suite or soak away in the Victorian style ‘roll top’ tubs in Coryton and Tillie’s enormous bathrooms.

There are undoubtedly a myriad ways of holding a wedding at Pentillie Castle that we have yet to think of, so by all means ask and we will do all we can to help create your extra special day!
